Cebu Sugbo Suroy suroy
Before anything is formed it starts from scratch. Just like the theory of how the universe evolved with the BIG BANG THEORY and how places have evolved from just an ordinary hometown to somewhat a developed scenery.
On my trip in cebu I have came across through MUSEO de CEBU and I was astonished with the great evolution of the famous places there, I've seen famous articrafts that was recovered way way back from the oldest era.
BUT what I want to share is the pictures I have taken from MUSEO SUGBO.
First, here is a picture of FUENTE OSMEÑA 72 years ago.
FUENTE OSMEÑA 1936
Quite aged, isn't it? So evolution and development happened, here's how FUNETE OSMEÑA looks like now, year 2008.

Another spectacular and the most distinguished place here in Cebu is THE CAPITOL.
The Cebu Capitol, built in 1937 during the incumbency of Gov. Sotero Cabahug, is the terminus of Jones Ave. Strategically located at the foot of a hill, the graceful capitol commands a dramatic setting. Classic elements contribute to the sedate beauty of the structure. Its concave facade links two wings of the capitol forming a u-shaped plan. The facade leads to a tall foyer capped by a dome. Inside the dome is painted the history of Cebu. The foyer leads to the wings on either side. The Cebu Capitol is easily one of the more beautiful civic buildings built during the American colonial period.

MONASTERY OF THE HOLY EUCHARIST, SIMALA SIBONGA CEBU
MONASTERY OF THE HOLY EUCHARIST
SIMALA, SIBONGA CEBU
SIMALA, SIBONGA CEBU
Because of Filipino's strong christian-catholic belief, a lot of us are considered to be pilgrims of different Saint Figures. And amongst the religious figures, Mother Mary has the most number of devotees. She's considered to be the highest form of intercessor to GOD and to Jesus Christ. There are a hundred number of monasteries that are frequently visited by devotees, one of which is SIMALA, in SIBONGA CEBU. They say, and others had testified that if you visit Mama Mary in SIMALA and if you pray hard and from the heart and ask for petitions, it will come true.
Reaching SIMALA is not that difficult though, you can ride a bus (mini bus) from the City either in SOUTH BUS TERMINAL, or ONE-WAY CITILINK TERMINAL going to SIBONGA. From the main road of SIMALA, you can ride a TRICYCLE which will deliver you right infront of the MONASTERY gates.
I have here some pictures which I took just this year.

Masskara Festival - Bacolod City
Just like other places, one of the most colorful attractions of our mother land are the festives of each town. Sinulog of Cebu is one, Ati-atihan of Kalibo Aklan, and the latest of Filipino events is the MASSKARA FESTIVAL of BACOLOD CITY!
The word MASSKARA has two connotations, MASS for MANY and KARA for FACES, which when joined would give you MASS OF FACES. Masks made of funny faces are worn as inaurgeration for Bacolod City as THE CITY OF SMILE. Highlights of the festival is celebrated mid October (16-19) of each year.
